Jiangxi province Minerals hunting
trip in 2010,Jan 21th-25th, As for below special minerals, please click small image
for see details. They are all from PiaoTang mine area, Dayu co., Jiangxi province, China First piece: I think it is a piece of big powellite crystal, It glow yellow and little white under UV shortwave, under natural light it also show a little yellow too, 8.5cm in diameter and 0.46kg in weight, even it is not powellite, I also sure it is near powellite too, Mo percent is closed powellite, and please feel free to talk with me if you have other opinions, Now I labeled it as powellite.  Second piece, of course It is a piece of big scheelite crystal from this location, glow bright blue under UV shortwave.  I putted them together and got a photo, so that we can compared them, left piece color under UV shortwave is nearly or almost yellow, bright yellow, right piece is scheelite glow bright blue under UV shortwave, left piece if first piece, right piece is second piece.  Third piece, It is a beautiful specimen, under natural calcite show pink, and fluorite show amazing purple, green, blue color and a little transparent, calcite glow pink under UV shortwave, fluorite glow blue under UV shortwave or longwave, and fluorite is phosphorescent after exposed in UV shortwave for a few seconds.
